Anita Spring Quartet
The Anita Spring Quartet has been performing nationally and internationally for more than eight years as a group. The Anita Spring Quartet collectively has over 80 years’ experience in the entertainment industry and are a regular feature at prestigious Jazz Festivals including Manly Jazz Festival and the Noosa Jazz Festival. Other highlight performances include the Blue Note Nagoya- Japan, Aberdeen Boat Club- Hong Kong, 505- Sydney and more recently BRAVO Performing Arts Cruise upon the Radiance of the Seas. The Quartet resides in Sydney and plays public, private and corporate events, their next public performance at The Thredbo Jazz Festival in April.

Anita Spring is a graceful, versatile singer who makes the transition from pop star to jazz diva effortlessly. Spring’s successes include: Studio release ‘Blink’ the first single from her album Paris Can Wait – recorded in George Martin’s Air Studios in London, ARIA National Top 40, No. 3 ARIA Australian Singles charts, Title track on film Danny Deckchair and national and international TV and film exposure. Spring has had a blessed career from the tender age of 15 and she continues to tour around the world regularly performing and prestigious events with her sophisticated quartet that tributes the great artists of jazz. Spring is currently recording her forth studio album.
Todd Hardy: Trumpet/ Flugelhorn
Todd Hardy is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has been performing professionally for over 20 years in Australia as well as numerous tours to Europe and Asia. Hardy performs regularly at The Star Casino with his Jazz trio and performs with his 13 piece “Swing Orchestra” as well as regular performances with Monica Trapaga, Rhonda Burchmore, Anita Spring, the Dan Barnett Big Band, The Unity Hall Jazz band and George Washingmachine. He recently recorded an ABC Jazz session with renowned pianist Judy Bailey and his recent studio album was named ABC Jazz Album of the year in 2016.
Darren Heinrich: Organ/bass
Darren Heinrich is a versatile Sydney-based organist, pianist and educator who holds a 1st class Honours degree in Jazz from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where he is currently in the early stages of a PhD in Jazz Organ Improvisation. His influences incorporate the entire spectrum of the Jazz idiom, from its earliest ragtime roots to modern jazz. He regularly gigs with his own trio and freelances with a wide variety of acts both locally and abroad. Darren has studied extensively with Hammond masters Dr. Lonnie Smith and Tony Monaco, and wrote his undergraduate thesis comparing the styles of Jimmy Smith and Larry Young.
Nic Cecire: drums/ percussion
Nic Cecire has been playing professionally for more than 20 years. In that time, he has performed with Australia’s leading artists in a wide range of musical settings. Cecire is an in-demand drummer and is most passionate about jazz, he has worked with George Golla, Daryl Aberhart, Greg Coffin Trio, Tina Harrod, Nielsen Gough, James Morrison, Dale Barlow, Jenny Morris, Todd Hardy, James Muller, Adrian Cunningham and Anita Spring to name but a few.
