Di Bird Trio
Di Bird – Vocals
To quote Australian Jazz icon Graeme Bell, “Di Bird swings her bum off!”. An adept vocalist and experienced band leader, Di’s warm vocal tone and lyrical dexterity provide the perfect vehicle for tightly arranged swinging jazz standards. She plays a variety of jazz tunes, including classics from Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee. Last year saw the Di Bird Quartet return to the Norfolk Island Jazz Festival, as well as performing concerts for audience across regional and rural Australia. Having sung at festivals in Manly, Queenstown (NZ) and Magnetic Island, she is delighted to be a part of this year’s Thredbo Jazz Festival.
